Christmas!

I love this time of year but man are we busy! We took a mini vacation leaving Thursday we drove to First Monday in Canton. Friday morning R and I along with My Sister and BNL braved the chiliy weather to shop! Mimi and PawPaw kept the kids in the Motor Home nice and toasty! Then on Saturday we drove over to Palestine to ride The Polar Express train. It was a really neat experience and the triplets had an Amazing time. The looks on their faces were priceless. It was alot like the real movie but the triplets didn't realize that. Can't wait to do it again. Sadly Sunday we had to return home from our mini vacation but were able to stop and have lunch with Aunt P and and Uncle G. This weekend Cheer Competition and Santas Wonderland!

Halloween
We have been sick for the past 8 weeks so we had to get pictures when we could! We were able to go to the Pumpkin Patch by our house the Saturday before Halloween!
JT can smell a tractor a 100 miles away!

The pumpkin patch we went to branded the kids pumpkins for them. They really enjoyed watching it and alot less mess than carving!!!
We attempted to trick or treat but Hazel wasn't feeling well. We did make it to a few places.

We Have been busy!!!

First we started the summer with the girls very first dance recital. They did very well.

4th of July we made an impromptu visit to New Braunfels with By Brother and his family and had a BLAST. It was short but Fun!

It's been awhile

Sorry its been so long since an update on our crew. We have been a little busy!! In March we took the triplets to WDW and had a FANTASTIC time. We drove in my parents Moty home as the triplets called and they enjoyed the freedom and staying at the RV parks. The LOVED all the characters they met and going on all the rides. We were a little afraid of the fireworks and the scary characters but just told them to go away and all was well again. JT's favorite part was the monorail. He got excited everytime we got on it. Claire LOVED the princesses and eating breackfast with all of them. Hazel DID not like having her picture taken most of the time but she loved Turtle Talk with Crush (DUDE!!!). Here are some of our favorite pics!

Christmas and More

The C family has been very busy since Thanksgiving. We threw my mom a surprise retirement party with about 20 of her friends some she hadn't seen in 10 years. Then we went to Austin for my sister's graduation with her Masters Degree. We ate breakfast with Santa went to Lights in the Heights. Then it snowed in Houston! The triplets enjoyed watching the snow fall and actually cover the ground for a few hours. We had several Christmas pagents at church and Christmas Eve service with dancing camels! Sheesh!

We were awakend Christmas day by a beautiful choir of two girls singing Jingle Bells what a wonderful way to wake up. The triplets had a great Christmas spending time wtih family and eating alot. They are still discovering new toys everyday.

We are excited as their vocabulaies have exploded. We are truly blessed to have three healthy beautiful children to love and that are loved. I fell blessed to have a wonderful husband who loves and cares for us the way he does. I wouldn't be the same without him (love you Daddybabe!).

Drum Roll Please!

Well I know some of you are curious how we fared with IKE. Our side fence came down and decided to try and come into our house. So IKE came to visit. We also had some water damage in our living room and I'm sure there is some in the Dining room but since we are going on 10 days with NO POWER we can't vacuum up the glass to no for sure yet. We are staying at my mom and dads so its not bad. We are told we may not have power till Thursday. We are grateful to be safe and sound. The rest is temporary!

So here are the results:

JT 29lbs 150z

33.5 inches long (he is 1 1/2 inches taller than his sisters!)

He is all boy full of rough and tumble. He loves his sisters or loves to harass them I'm not sure which :). He loves to make you laugh and tickle you.

She is the little mother hen. She has to know where everyone is all the time. She is also the chatter box. She has the most words and is always singing. She is warming up in dance class but not sure we will make it??

Well little miss peanut. She has given us a scare but in the end she has a cyst on her Kidney that we will be following up with a Urologist about. Compared to what it was looking like we are so thankful. She loves to sing her ABC's and 123's. She is a very picky eater and has to stay on soy milk since she was breaking out to milk. She DOES NOT like dance class so we will give it a few more weeks and decided?

We have started potty training but nothing intense. Claire has gone a couple of times but nothing consistent. They even say potty to Hazel and she runs screaming! We are in no hurry!!!

We have also decided to separate JT and the girls. They are not sleeping well at night and on the weekends. They are playing and aggravating each other. Our plan was to work on their rooms but IKE crushed that plan. So Mimi and Pawpaw took them early so we could get the work done.

So here's how it went! They went into class and cried! So Miss S. tried to make a deal with them that if Mommy came in they would participate!?!? hmm well Mommy ended up holding Haz but Claire did warm up some and even put on a tutu! I think we were successful? Next week we are going to not let them see Mommy outside the room and they should do better.

Okay for those who don't know our Pawpaw works in Alaska. He gave us these very special books from Alaska for our birthday. We have the best Pawpaw EVER- The Triplets!
Mimi and Pawpaw got the trips tricycles for their birthday and Mommy and Daddy got them helmets (safety first!!). So we took them to Mimi and Pawpaw's house on Sunday for their first test drive. Somehow these tricycles have horns????

THE BIG 2

The babies turned 2 this past Thursday! They had a great day in San Antonio eating lunch with Shamu and visiting the dolphins and all the other animals. Then they went for their first trip(s) down the Comal River. They did GREAT. Claire kept wanting out of her tube to swim. JT chilled with one hand and foot in the water at all times. Hazel poor Hazel she doesn't really care for the water but did great. She would fuss but then jump up and laugh!!! It was a great weekend with family. Pictures are coming our Internet is down. :(

I will have a full 2 year rundown when we go to the Dr for their appointment. Hope you have a great week.

CLOWNIN AROUND

What does 6 Adults + 10 kids and lots of clown = Priceless!! Okay so I'm not so good at the imitation! We too the trips to the circus and had the best time. Although we didn't think it would last 2.5 hours the trips did great. All this kids seemed to have a great time. The looks on their faces were priceless!! :) THANKS to EVERYONE who helped today.

Happy 4th of July!

The triplets stayed their first weekend in a castle.The Inn keepers were great and the triplets enjoyed having the run of the castle. We took them to SA to see SHAMUUU as they say! The had a great time except it rained on Friday so we didn't get to do much but Saturday we spent most of the day at Sea World. It was a great time with Aunt P and Uncle Genn. We hope you all had a wonderful 4th.

House of Joy!

This household had been very busy lately. Memorial Day weekend we enjoyed the long weekend at our family beach house with some friends. Then on Sunday we celebrated at my parents house with some toddler 4 wheeler riding. This was also when we were introduced to our newest family member Mumbo. She is a black and white boxer who is only 8 weeks old. The trips weren't sure about her since she has some sharp paws and wants to jump on them. She also wants to play!!! JT and Claire loved riding in the 4 wheelers but Hazel was not impressed!!!

The cousins recently had their annual dance recital. Both girls love to dance and we are excited that Hazel and Claire will be joining them next year. They will start Creative Dance in August. Here is JT with H after the recital at dinner.

We have had more changes in the house too. Last weekend Hazel learned how to unzip her crib tent. So we decided it was time to move them out of their cribs. So we moved all of their dressers to one side of the room by the daybed and put a gate across so that they couldn't get to them and harm themselves. Then we put their mattresses on the floor (tried their toddler beds and they aren't ready for them yet!). We are on night number 4 and it is going well. JT and Hazel have swithched beds but it really doesn't matter.

Many of you may not know but I have been looking for a new job recently. I needed something that would allow me to be off on weekends with daddy and the trips. It was a hard decision since I LOVE where I work and it was where the babies were born and they took EXCELLENT care of them. Anyway I had an interview yesterday that took about 3 hours and by yesterday afternoon I had been offered the job. It has been a long process but we knew that the Lord would provide the perfect job and we believe he did. I will miss TWH but know this is the best move for my family. I begin my new job on Monday June 16th :)

We have also been a sick household since this past weekend. The trips have bronchitis and I found out today I have strep throat and daddy is on his was to the dr now. So we didn't get to celebrate to much last night but promised we would as soon as we felt better.

I can't believe how much their vocabulary has exploded especially in the last month! They have started attempting every ones names. They aren't always recognizable but were trying.

With the help of Aunt P and Uncle Genn!!! we moved the fun zone upstairs to the actual game room. We are still working out a few kinks but they love it. All the space and toys they didn't even know they had :). I will have to get a picture up.

I just want to say Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there. Especially to my Mom you are the BEST!!! Yvonne even though you aren't here with us anymore, you are still the best MIL I know you are missed dearly everyday. WE LOVE YOU MOMS :)

Okay so we took the triplets to Cool Cuts 4 Kids on Saturday for MUCH needed haircuts. I am very sad to say that JT's curls are momentarily gone. He looks so much older with his new haircut and even more like his Daddy (if that is possible!). He does look VERY cute though.

We bought a roller coaster from one of the other Moms of Multiples and the kids LOVE it. They can't wait for their turn. The best part is the car and they enjoy riding around on the car.

Easter and Rodeo

Well I never really thought I would be celebrating Easter the last weekend of Rodeo!

We took the triplets to the Rodeo twice. I took them with some other Moms of Multiples and we had a great time. JT finally had some boys to hang out with! Then they made their appearance at the Junior Market Steer Auction. They loved seeing all their Rodeo family and Grammy and Gamps hogging them!!! We had such a great time.

EASTER

We celebrated a little early. We had our family Easter on Good Friday since mommy had to work all weekend. We had dinner and an egg hunt at their Great Grandparents house.

Whats in a Name?

In my daily tour through the blogs I visit. I was visiting 4tunate that's right quads. She gets the same question we always get and actually I was asked this weekend at work. How did you come up with their names? Well R wanted a junior??? I did like the idea of using family names though. So R said what about John Thomas it was his great grandfathers name. Well my dads name is also John so it was perfect (I love you Dad!) and R's middle name is Thomas too. So daddy is RT and little man is JT! Then I have always loved the name Claire which was my great grandmothers name and R liked it too. We knew if their was one girl in the bunch she was to be named after R's mom in some way. She was a special woman we lost 4 years ago. So her name is Claire Alice. Alice was also my great granmothers name on my grandfathers side. R and I thought for the longest time (okay 14weeks) that it was two boys and a girl and had picked out another boys name, but they told us it was two girls and a boy. So hmmm started going down the list of other females in both sides of the family and came across Hazel. There are several on both sides. So it was set and she has my moms middle name Hazel Lynn. So both grandmas got the middle names! That's how we named our little miracles.

So the babies are doing well with daycare. They seem to enjoy playing with their new friends and daddy and I really like their teachers. They are learning alot. We had Hazels speech evaluated. She is a little behind with all of her hearing issues but nothing her new therapist thinks can't be changed. Ohh THANK YOU Amy for the referral! She will be going to Speech Therapy once a week for awhile to get her caught up. You know that has to bother her that she gets one on one time!

18 months

WOW! 18 MONTHS?

Where did the time go? We can't believe we have toddlers. They have grown so much in the last 6 months.

All are walking well and even attempting to run a little. Hazel and JT both had the flu and all seem to be teething.

We are all going through a major change this week. The babies began daycare and Mommy is going back to work on the dayshift (YEAH). They seem to be enjoying their new school with only a few tears! Cousin Hannah is watching over them very well she has warned her friends and just today I saw her checking in on them on the playground.

JT- Has learned lots of words and loves his cozy coupe car but doesn't share it well. He is usually the first one to wake up in the morning and lets us know he is awake. He loves to point to his sisters and say sissy just in case you don't know who they are.

Claire - loves to try and sing her ABC's and it is so cute! She can say and point to both her bubba and sissy but considers herself the baby! We have a feeling she might be a south paw but aren't' sure of course :) :) :) :) :) She is definatly independent she wants to wear her backpack when we leave school and walk by herself. She loves hats and purses she is such the girl.

Hazel - The little peanut she loves to bring you a book and back up and sit in your lap for you to read it to her. She will let you know what she wants she points and squeals! She has been making us work for our kissess. You have to catch them!

Outing

We went to the mall today with some friends to celebrate the Brown Girl's First Birthday YEAH!! It was 9 kids (three sets of triplets!) 7girls and two boys poor JT always out numbered!!! Loss of a Beloved Family Member

Sheba was part of our family for almost 11 years. Her youthful spirit and love will always be remembered. I will always remember how she would sneak up to the babies or any child while no one was watching give them a big lick and prance off so proud of herself. Sheba you will be greatly missed but always remembered.

Ski Trip 2007

Okay I know I said I would post while we were gone but the wireless in NM had limited abilities and would not allow me to post pictures. So this is going to be a long one! The babies did great and had a wonderful time. Daddy was bite by the ski bug and did great. He and PawPaw went up to the top of the mountain on Saturday! We all came home in one piece and I even skied! The big girls did great too K even go to ride the big lift! We hope everyone had a safe New Year and we are looking forward to what 2008 has in store.

The babies don't seem to mind the cold except when JT lost a mitten and his hands got cold! So we bought him new ones! We drop Daddy, K & H off for ski lessons in the morning so we hope to upload pics after that (fingers crossed!).

Merry Christmas

We have been very busy in the Capehart house. We are getting ready for our trip and Christmas. We are also preparing for Hazel's surgery on Monday. Don't worry its not major. She is haveing her second set or ear tubes, her adnoids and tonsils removed. We will have to spend the night but hopefully only one. We will try and keep you updated. I tried to upload the trips picture with Santa but am having difficulty. I will keep trying. No one cried though maybe next year! Hope everyone is doing well.

Thanksgiving

We continued our Thanksgiving by surprising Ron's family yesterday in Corsicana at the family Thanksgiving. They were all very surprised. The babies enjoyed seeing everyone.

We had a wonderful Halloween. The herd did great. We went to Great Nana and PeePaws house which is where most of the pictures are from. Then came home and went around our neighborhood. We did have one laughing cow??? Any yes you will notice we have 3 walking cows :).

Warning cute herd ahead!

Stair Climbers

The babies have learned (or been allowed) to climb the stairs. This is great for mommy and daddy b/c caring three babies over 20lbs up and down the stairs gets to be a little much! The only problem is once they get to the top and were alone they go three different directions! Think of herding cattle!!! We love it.

Corn on the Cob!

Our cousin from Germany was in town and Mimi decided to cook him a Texas style dinner. One of his favorites is corn on the cob!! Mimi thought we should see how the babies liked it! So here you go. Hazel was not interested in dinner she had filled up on appitizers!

JT wasn't sure at first but then........

He went to town and almost ate the whole thing!

We enjoyed letting the triplets meeting their cousin from Germany we are sorry that his wife and daughter were not able to join him, but hope to introduce them hopefully this summer.

Weekends

Last Sunday was Ron's Speaker Appreciation Party. It was out on a Ranch in Plantersville. We had a great time visitng with Rodeo friends we haven't seen in awhile.

This morning Mommy got up bright and early to go and sell some of our baby stuff at the Moms of multiples buy and sell. So the babies stayed home with Daddy and then when Mommy got home we all played. We are learning how to get on and off of our riding toys and Mommy and Daddy had a few laughs watching us!

Can you tell who doesn't belong?? Cannon was over for a playdate. At one point the boys were at one end of the gate and the girls were at the other. It was a standoff! We Love playdates with Cannon.

Family Reunion

We had the Monroe family reunion in Corsicana last weekend. We had a great time even though it was a short trip. Here are just a couple of pics. It was nice to see everyone.

Our Little Herd

When Ron and I were thinking about our birth announcements a year ago (which we never sent out!) and it was close to Halloween by the time we took our first set of photos. We found the cutest cow costumes and thought our little herd! Last year they were so small they only fit in the hats and if you saw thos pictures we had a VERY angry bull. Well this year they fit in the whole costume but there was still a somewhat angry bull. I must say this is the cutest little herd I've ever seen but I may be partial :). Just in case you can't tell Hazel is in the front J.T. is on the hay, and Claire is standing. J.T. was so happy that the apples were real this time and he FINALLY got to eat one. Can you believe 13 months TODAY!!!

Then on Saturday we decided to go to the Wood's Pool Party. They just got their new pool ready and the trips wanted to try it out! This was post swim dinner.

The biggest news of the weekend was that we moved the babies to their toddler beds. The main reason for this was that our little man thought his mattress was a trampoline and about went head first over his crib. So to a lower bed he goes. It was cute to watch them all play together in each others bed and giggle. See below.

They did fall asleep and no I didn't wake them up by taking this picture they didn't even move. Yes their is still a crib in their room we are using it as we work with them in their beds. Some may think they are to young but not even the crib tent was keep our wild monkey in his bed!

School Report!

Their tattle sheets were good reports. There was some talk of a little boy throwing a fit over seeing another child having a bottle! To every ones surprise Claire didn't come home with her bow in her hair, but hey she did still have her ponytail so that is an improvement! We went to bed early tonight since they were rubbing their eyes and only had one nap. Wednesday is our next day at school so stay tuned.

Fun Filled Weekend!

The Triplets attended their friend Canon's first birthday party Saturday evening.

Then this morning we went to Babies R Us to go look for the triplets a new ride. We have sold the front to back triplet strollers because they don't like them. It is hard to push three one year olds when they are swaying from side to side to see! So here they are. Now everyone can see all the time.

A funny thing happened while we were shopping for strollers. This lady came up to us that works in the Kiddie Kandids photo studio at Babies R Us and said she needed to take one more photo sessions of toddlers to get her certification. Would we mind if she took some of our gang and we would get a free 8x10. So we said sure! Here is the link to the photos. No they are not real apples but the babies didn't believe us :)

One Year Pedi Appointment!!!

Okay let me start by saying I was a bad mommy this weekend and didn't take any pictures in Corsicana :(. Aunt P took all the pictures and she is on vacation in Tenn. for a week. So we will wait. The party was great and I was having fun watching the babies play with all the family and freinds that came!

Okay for the Dr. visit. All are doing well for their age and no more signs of them being preemies. We are only slightly mad since we got two shots, but Aunt Shell was right their with fruit snacks to make us happy again.

Our First Birthday!

One year ago we were blessed with three little miracles. At 1856, 1858, & 1859pm and 4, 6, and 8 weeks later we were a full family of 5 at home. People wonder how we do it! I am fortunate to have one of the best and most loving husbands around. We also have wonderful family and friends that have helped and we couldn't have done it without them. As we looked back on the past year of our children's lives we feel truly blessed and are only excited about their future.

They had a great Day, we went to the Woodlands Mall and met up the the Brown girls and shopped and had lunch. The girls got a Minnie Mouse and JT got a Mickey. Then home to wait for Daddy and off to Chucky Cheese with Aunt Shelley and the cousins! They had a wonderful time as you will see in the pictures below. They sang Happy Birthday, got a visit from Chucky, and even ate (attacked) some Ice Cream.

So here are the updates on the babies.

JT - Can take a step or two then falls. He can stand alone forever! He is still Mommies cuddle bug. He loves Cheerios and jumping in his bed! He truly is our little Monkey.

Claire - Is the bravest and can take a step as long as she doesn't try to let her tummy go first! She loves to make you smile using her snorty nose face! She would rather have fruit snacks but isn't really picky. She thinks Bubba is funny and imitates his jumping in bed or just laughs at him. She is very much a Daddy's girl just ask her! She can shake her head no and even understands no in German!

Hazel - Has taken the most steps and if she didn't get scared after two in a row she would be off and running!!!! She is our independent child and does things on her own. She loves to squeal at the top of her lungs (such a nice way to wake up :) ) She kicks her legs when she gets excited and too loves to snuggle but mainly with Daddy. She too can shake her head no and also understands it in German.

We are all using sippy cups and have gone to whole milk.

We want to thank each and everyone of you that have shared in the lives of our children. Your love and support have helped us make it through. We look forward to the days to come.

Hazel is second!

Today Hazel took her first step! This morning during Claire's therapy we noticed that Hazel was cruising everywhere and this afternoon she did it. JT will be anyday now. His problem is that he digs his toes in, to balance and then can't let go and step without falling! He does have the best balance of the three.

Daddy came home yesterday from a long few days in Galveston and the babies were exstatic to see him after a LONG 3 nights away!!!

We have had a very busy week. Did I mention NO MORE BOTTLES YEAH! We have sippy cup kids :). We got rid of them yesterday.

Aunt Paula and Uncle Glenn came down for the weekend and we had a great time. We had a photo shoot on Saturday and then went to Moody Gardens Aquarium! I think the kids were as much an exhibit as the animals. We had our first picture with a tourist!!!! ;)

With Daddy in Galveston this week I haven't had a chance to upload any of the pictures yet but I will. Only 11 more days till the first big party!!!!! and NO each baby DOES NOT need their own puppy (Marcia and Patlee)!

Hazel Had her one month follow up with the ENT today and he said her tubes look great. We didn't do a hearing screen since they only had one tech and a long line. We will do it when we go back for our 6 month check!
